hi im planning to travel from ho chi mihn city in veitnam to bangkok via the angkor wat ruins i have 9 day i was wondering if this is possible?but most of all safe?i am planning to travel march next year, does anyone know of any packages? im on a backpacker budget, and i speak very little veitnamese, cambodian or thai.is it better to book before hand or wing it once i get to vietnam, im austrlian if that helps also, any advice would be gretly appreciated thanks.

With only nine days and the bad road conditions, you’ll spend a lot of time in busses if you opt for the cheapest possible.
I suggest you to fly from HCMC to Cambodia and then bus to Thailand. At Seam Reap you’ll meet plenty of other backpackers. Form a group.
